Kind Words

My family and I look forward to our two-week stay each year. The view is spectacular sunrise to moonrise - we even saw whales breaching in the distance last year! We absolutely love the vintage simplicity and history of the cottages! And there's plenty of lawn space for kicking a ball around, flinging a frisbee or swinging a whiffle bat. The "secret" stairs leading to the marsh and kayak launch also add to the absolute charm of Smith Heights. Thanks, Joyce and Duane, for maintaining a slice of a by-gone day. I wouldn't change a thing. :)

My Smith Heights experience begins when I exit the rotary into Eastham and catch my first glimpse of the water sparkling in the Town Cove.  Nothing compares to the feeling of peace that comes over me sitting on the porch of McKechnie early in the morning with that first cup of coffee, watching the birds at the feeders and being enveloped in their song.  As a west coast person born and bred, I never felt I had a home on the east coast until I discovered Smith Heights.  My yearly returns late Spring and early Fall keep me grounded and replenished all year long.

Smith Heights...so peaceful. Have been going there for almost 20 years. Duane and Joyce are wonderful hosts. The cottages are lovely, view incredible. Love that well behaved pets are welcome! A slice of heaven..we look forward to this all year. Cannot say enough about this wonderful place.
